Introduction
This is Goa’s signature dish and is one of the best known dishes. The curry consists of ground coconut, Kasmiri chilies and a range of secret Relish mixed spices!

Method
Goan Fish Curry
1. Heat a pan on medium heat, add the base paste and 150ml
water (check for consistency)
2. Add onions cook on high heat for 10 minutes
3. Check for seasoning and keep the salt slightly under
4. Add fish chunks and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes (until the fish is cooked)
(recommended - serve with basmati rice)
Vinny’s Hot Tips
Marinate the fish with salt and also sliced onions separately, you can prepare this recipe without a single drop of oil!
Ingredients
Preperation
500g King Fish 2”chunks
(add 1 tsp sea salt and marinate for 30 minutes, rinse off before adding to the curry)
Base Curry Paste
1 Onion Sliced (fine)
2 ½ tsp Relish Goa Fish Masala Spice Mix
1 ½ Cup/150g Grated Coconut
½ tsp Tamarind Paste or (1tsp Lime Juice)
½ tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Ginger paste or 2" Fresh Ginger
1 tsp Garlic paste or 4 Garlic Cloves
½ tsp Salt
(Blend the above ingredients to a fine smooth paste)
Goan Fish Curry
1 Onion thin sliced (apply ¼ tsp salt and keep aside)
Salt to Taste
Fresh coriander leaves to garnish
